work 1. dindin 蝸牛

200x105x70cm

work 2. waiyaniyan u 去來回

50x50x180cm、40x46x130cm

work 3. puzung 芒草結

100x150x230cm、100x150x230cm

work 4. ibeb 泉

140 x 100 x 210 cm

work 5. rakaz za’enay 水源地

144x144x94cm

Work 1: dindin (Snail)

Dimensions: 200 x 105 x 70 cm

On Linlin's first day working in Taipei,
Her rented room was empty.
She met Mr. Cold of Tamsui outside and listened to his cold jokes all night.
That night, her body froze as she sought warmth under a pile of clothes,
Slowly turning into a "dindin," singing a lonely song in the cardboard box:
"My parents told me to wander, and as I walked, I shed tears.
Where did I wander to? To Taipei."

——————————

Work 2: waiyaniyan u (Going Back and Forth)

Dimensions: 50 x 50 x 180 cm, 40 x 46 x 130 cm

You once wove totems of a thousand years, creating vessels to hold culture.
I now weave your paths, extending them into the present as contemporary symbols.
We are tradition, we are the present.

——————————

Work 3: puzung (Miscanthus Knot)

Dimensions: 100 x 150 x 230 cm, 100 x 150 x 230 cm

The Miscanthus knot that protects the children
Stands on the way home,
Warning enemies who harm the land,
And reminding everyone to revere all beings.
In their presence, we shall become one.

——————————

Work 4: ibeb (Spring)

Dimensions: 140 x 100 x 210 cm

The cardboard boxes I used to move away and back home are my driftwood.
The tape that binds memories and past moments is my Miscanthus.
Life is my vessel, filled with every moment of tradition and the present, constantly feeding my endless spring.

——————————

Work 5: rakaz za’enay (Water Source)

Dimensions: 144 x 144 x 94 cm

When you drink the diluted culture away from home,
When you gradually forget the name vuvu gave you,
When the memories of the tribe fade in the busy life,

Dear child, please turn back to nature,
Return to the land and sprout,
Return to the forest and breathe,
Return to the water source and find your shadow,
Remember yourself.
